Cookies
Version 1 · last updated 7 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This is how rugsland.uk uses them.
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Session and security: keep you signed in and protect forms against forgery (rugs-land-session, XSRF-TOKEN). They expire after a few hours, or when you sign out.
- Basket, saved pieces and your cookie choice: remembered in your browser's own storage so they survive a page reload.
Analytics (only if you accept)
- rl_vid and rl_sid: count visits and pages so we know what people look at. Only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner; choosing Only necessary sets neither.
Payments
When you pay, Stripe sets its own cookies to prevent fraud. See stripe.com/privacy.
Maps and videos
- Google Maps: the map on our home, about and contact pages comes from Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- YouTube: our videos load only when you press play, from youtube-nocookie.com.
Changing your choice
You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies stops sign-in and checkout from working.
