Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from Rugs Land at rugsland.uk. Please read them before you order.

Who we are

Rugs Land is the trading name of Farmanullah Sayed, 25 Brunswick Street, Luton LU2 0HF. We sell handmade Afghan rugs and kilims at rugsland.uk, on Etsy (AfghankilimsStore) and on eBay (afghankilims), and from our showroom at Cinch Self Storage, Cherry Tree Rd, Watford WD24 6SB, open Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to 6pm, by appointment. Our pieces

Almost every rug and kilim we sell is handmade and one of a kind. Colours on screen can differ slightly from the piece in daylight, and handmade pieces have small irregularities in shape, size and pattern; these are part of their character, not faults. Sizes are measured by hand and may differ by up to 3%.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where VAT applies. Delivery is shown separately at checkout, before you pay. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Trade orders can also be paid by bank transfer. If we make an obvious pricing mistake we will tell you, and you can choose to go ahead at the right price or cancel for a full refund.

Your order

Your order is accepted when we email you to confirm it. Because most pieces are unique, if two people buy the same piece at the same moment, the first completed payment wins and the other buyer is refunded in full straight away.

Delivery

See our Delivery policy. The piece is your responsibility once it is delivered to you or to someone you nominate.

Returns

You can return an online order within 30 days of the day you receive it, without giving a reason; if you change your mind, the return postage is yours. This includes your legal right to cancel within 14 days. See our Returns policy for how.

Faulty pieces

If a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: a full refund within 30 days, and a repair, replacement or refund for up to six months. Tell us and we will put it right, at our cost.

Trade and wholesale buyers

Trade quotes are made individually; the quote sets out its own prices, delivery and payment terms, and these terms apply to everything the quote does not cover. The 14-day cancellation right applies to consumers, not to business purchases.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
